Hello North East People!
Discussion
Hi to all on this forum, I've been a member of pistonheads for a while but have only used the forums for the last couple of weeks. Anyway its just dawned on me I've never posted to say hello properly. So here goes.
I'm Mark W, a precision engineer (sounds good but I just make things out of bits of metal really). Live in Cramlington work in South Shields, have to endure the Tyne tunnel twice daily, ouch! I drive a 911 964 c2 currently going down the RS route, an E36 328 sport workhorse, a 1999 Yamaha R1 and a 2005 (on a 57 plate) Suzuki Gsxr750 Anniversary. I love all things to do with cars and bikes as long as they're rare/different/fast/sound good.
Anyway, thats about it, I just thought i'd better say hello properly so I can hopefully get to know a few of you. That bacon sarnie run everyone done this weekend sounds like a laugh, so i'd love to go on one of those next year too.
Cheers, look forward to speaking to a few of you soon.
Oh, one more thing, I work mainly nightshift so its sometimes a couple of days between me getting to a computer. Just incase I ever don't reply instantly, my apologies in advance! Cheers.

Yeah, cheers lads, good to be onboard. Its going to be a long winter though! I've only just started getting into P'heds properly and like you say it'll be next year before much happens. My timings always impeccable!
Nevermind, the long winter just makes it that bit more special when you do eventually get to wheel the car out and fire it up in the spring! Well, thats what I keep telling myself anyway!

Yeah thanks, hi crowley and zebra (or zebs for short, isn't it?), and hi again john, cheers for the chat yesterday.
Just noticed a bit on here about peoples age and noticed I'd forgot to mention mine. I am 30 years young.
Anyway, I'm off to work now to chase some tolerances. Ah, 12 hour nightshifts, you've gotta luv'em!

Alright lads! Nice to meet you. Well, meet you in an electronically created text sort of arrangement!
Nice M3 M15ley. Was looking at those before I got meself the fast beetle. Decided to get a cheap bm for work/bad weather and the 911 for nicer days. Also figured that way, when I did get the porsche out it would seem like more of an occasion. And it certainly is. Usually a smelly, oil dripping, expensive sort of occasion! Nah, its great really.
Nice colour on yours whygee, looks great!

Really common colour at the moment, for some reason.

Mornin' aston and Ian. Cheers for the hello!! I've had a good welcome from everyone on here, looking forward to next year and some runs out.
I'll definately be up for some blats out Ian. I generally finish work on a friday mornin' till monday night so I'm always poppin' about at weekends. I won't be wheelin' my chimp chariot out till about march but giv uz a shout and al see you then.
That car of yours is feckin' fantastic!! in fact when I get a close look at most the cars on here I'm sure al want to sell mine. I hope not though as I'm probs going to put another 5-6K in it over the winter. Carbon buckets, RS clutch and flywheel, etc and I won't get that back if I sell it.
Anyway, thats it from me for this morning. I'll no doubt speak to everyone on here again soon. Tada.
Mark.
