Mk 2 Golf GTi wanted

Hi,

I am after a big bumper black 3 door mark 2 golf gti, preferably 16v. I don't really mind what else it might have had done to it, as long as it is generally in good shape.

I have been looking through the classifieds but haven't been able to find anything local. I am in Newcastle and don't want to have to go too far, but can travel a bit.

I'm looking at about £1000 - £1400 ish.

I was in the same situation a few months ago, but found one in Doncaster on E-bay that i bought. There were quite a few knocking about when i was looking but i wanted an unmolested one.

I just sold mine a few weeks ago. J plate, 3 door, 8v in oak green. Got £2,400 for it in the end though

I have a beautiful totally original and unmolested 91 with a little over 50K genuine miles, would blow your budget out of the water but any good?

Found a brilliant mark 2 gti, black, big bumper, 97000 miles, mint condition £850!

It came with original VW alloys, and a set of newer BBS ones, I was going to keep the BBS alloys, but am slowly changing my mind.

It needs a good clean, but will get some pics up soon
