motorsport related work experience

my 14 year old daughter needs to find a work placement for school from 30th june to 4th july 2008, she wants to work in motorsport or motoring journalism etc.
she has already tried croft circuit but as its the end of the motorsport season cant arrange anything till next year,problem is she needs to inform her school by november of her intentions, could anyone help with any ideas or addresses of suitable organizations ie media or local motorsport teams

It would help to have an idea of where she could travel to but try contacting The Northern Echo, they have a decent motoring section and their other publication, the Darlington & Stockton Times, carries a lot of local motorsport reports. They even let me do work experience there a long time ago!
