We are having an open day next saturday at Vsport, basicly we are offering an oportunity for anyone to come along with their cars (2 wheel drive only) and get a full dyno session with power graphs for a reduced price.

the only requirements are:

car must be in good condition
cars must not have any fluid leaks
cars with their tracking or wheel balance out will not be run
no cars with big engine problems, its not a diagnostic day.
Brakes, handbrake and suspension must all be working correctly
No smoky engines that are burning oil
no cars with over heating problems
cars interiors must be tidy i.e no redbull cans under the pedals or sellotape holding the gearknob on!

and thats it really, before you come along, check oil and water levels, check for any leaks, make sure its service schedule is up to date, check tyre pressures, cars with timing belts that are near the end of their life arent reccomended. The dyno operators have the right to check and refuse any cars where necessary. Its for the safety of the cars, staff and other customers attending. The dyno will put a lot less stress on the car than when its being driven in normal conditions on the road, in perfect conditions being monitored by £50,000 worth of equipment so dont worry about the car blowing up, its not any more likely to happen on the dyno than when you drive the car down the road.

any questions call us on: 0191 5365900

Dave and Dan.

Some of the more interesting cars we have had on the dyno recently:

No bother mate I ended up popping in and speaking to one of the guys there. I'll be bringing the cerbie in for a new exhaust once my clutch is done. Get your ear plugs ready hehe

That makes two of us mate! No-cats and straight through should be pretty loud! My neighbours will love it hehe

Is there much of a wait on the exhaust building side? When I spoke to your colleague he said it was about a week?

I didnt know you did remapping for tvr's? Is it one with a aftermarket ECU or has Joolz been sharing his TVR ECU mapping skills with you?

It was my 400SE that was remapped today. It has an Emerald ECU and I knew the ignition map was wrong, so I asked if Vsport could remap it. Great guys. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I started out with 216 bhp and finished up with 251 bhp. This is from a standard 17 year old engine that's never been rebuilt as far as I know. I was very impressed.

we normally like people to give us a weeks notice for an exhaust so we can get all necesary parts in.

as for the mapping side of things we are currently only mapping aftermarket standalone management.
