Now some of the 20 x word 'comments of the day'
......(Listed under the team names to protect the innocent)
...............................
'Crowley' ~ reading maps, giving clues.....makes me sick, but jims still giving it some stick. Over hill, through Dale, Matfen Hall makes the day.
'The Lost boys' ~ Don't use TVR's for flying as they don't land well (or so my back says)
'Cross dressers R us' ~ I strongly recommend finding a navigator who can read instructions whilst travelleing in a TVR without the need to throw-up every few miles
. The Bobfather successfully managed to make me sick where Flyboy didn't quite manage it !.
'Mini - Hooners' ~ Dads Driving / Mam SHOUTING....AAAArrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......BUG ~ SPLAT !!
'Dick Dastardly & Muttley' ~ The 5th Lap of the circuit was the fastest !! ( Andy was my Navigator).
'Cheese Pants Brigade' ~ Left , Right, Half-Way round the middle, over, under, back and forth.......got there in the end ~ What a Pickle !!
'Don Kiddick' ~ We missed some of the Clues because getting out of the car 'is for GIRLS'.
'Dumb & Dumber' ~ We should win because we had the slowest car and my brakes worked all the way through the route !!
'The Sunday drivers' ~ Clearly Bomb and Zebra have shares in the Rothbury Tourist industry !
'Lost 24' ~ Like a Blind folded driver with a mute Navigator.......( so true)
'Designer' ~ A cracking drive (literally for some), with a load of other nutters. The treasure hunt tested our relationship !
' S-D' ~ I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
'Lincoln Invaders' ~ Clues ?? What Clues !! At Least we didn't have the deisel estate.
'Banana Splits' ~ Great roads , Great Scenery Great Comapny and some low Flying
What more could you ask for ??
and finally........
'Jo & Sideways' ~ This is a picture of a crocodile : I hope you like it. It is wearing a Fez !! ( The winner !!)
...................................................
Final thanks to the F1 for supplying the winning prize of two bottles of wine, and to Mrs bomb for lovingly making the cake for the best 20 x word comments.
Hope Y'all enjoyed it.

Hi all - I'm still fairly new to this and still learning who's who. (Me and my mate were the 2 standing with Zebra/Bomb at the finish) - Sadly didnt take part in the main event this time, but will be next time, looked great fun.
Who was the owner of the other lazer blue Elise s2? Having a nosey around and was curious to know what the canister was attached to the passenger seat? We were trying to work out if it was some kind of injector or something?
Anyway thanks again for Zebra/Bomb - still a good day even though we missed the main event.

It's a good job you didn't include the time taken to complete the route. Continental drift can be measured faster than the time we took
Places where we didn't find any clues:
Carlise
Glasgow
Edinburgh
York
Manchester
Despite fighting for most of the route, I still had a good time driving and the family had a good time playing with a DS, learning how to read a map and my daughter was the star of the show getting more clues than us but not being able to tell us, cos we were too busy arguing.
Congrats to all involved with organising the day - you did a grand job

The best bit was :-
1) seeing byff pass us on the road going back to the start but BEFORE we had even got to the village where the FIRST clue was
2) leaving Southpaw & someone else (sorry didn't know you're name) looking for the reservoir clue - (it's underneath the Gaffer tape boys)
3) & of course the flight deck on Hermes- otherwise known as the B6342

Today has been a fantastic opportunity to meet some like minded loons, on this, the latest hoon....
So, they made a quip that did rhyme, but unfortunately turned up just as the prizes were being handed over.
Glad you made it though, and it was nice to meet new faces.
Also for the record ~ you guys DID have the 'best in show' award for the cleanest and tidiest car. Well impressed !! ( no prize I'm afraid as our budget did not stretch to that)
