Vsport are having a Dyno Day on Saturday 18 of August, Everyone is welcome to come regardless of car type and engine type.

the only requirements are:

2 wheel drive cars only
car must be in good condition
cars must not have any fluid leaks
cars with their tracking or wheel balance out may not be run.
no cars with big engine problems, its not a diagnostic day.
Brakes, handbrake and suspension must all be working correctly
No smoky engines that are burning oil
no cars with over heating problems
cars interiors must be tidy i.e no redbull cans under the pedals or sellotape holding the gearknob on!

and thats it really, before you come along, check oil and water levels, check for any leaks, make sure its service schedule is up to date and check tyre pressures. The dyno operators have the right to check and refuse any cars where necessary. Its for the safety of the cars, staff and other customers attending. The dyno will put less stress on the car than when its being driven in normal conditions on the road, in perfect conditions being monitored by £50,000 worth of equipment so dont worry about the car blowing up, its not any more likely to happen on the dyno than when you drive the car down the road.

Costs are as follows:

Basic Run is £30 and you will get power and torque (at flywheel) graphs. Gives a good indication of how the engine is running and can show up any possible problems that may not be apparent under normal driving conditions.

Full run is £40 and you will get the same as the basic run plus an air/fuel ratio graph and a boost graph (if car is turbocharged) this is an Ideal option for modified engines and can also show where more power can be made and what future mods will compliment the current setup.

typical power graph:
