Hi there we are a new company in the north east that specialise in tuning and rolling roads, so far we have had a few rr open days and a few club days and thought it was about time we offered our services to the petrol heads that are ph forum member

just trying to get an idea id anyone is up for a rr day/weekend event in the near future

if someone would like to take it upon themselves to sort a day out please feel free to give us a ring at v sport on 0191 5365900

or make a list of who would be up for it below!

the only requirements are:

2 wheel drive cars only
car must be in good condition
cars must not have any fluid leaks
cars with their tracking or wheel balance out may not be run.
no cars with big engine problems, its not a diagnostic day.
Brakes, handbrake and suspension must all be working correctly
No smoky engines that are burning oil
no cars with over heating problems
cars interiors must be tidy i.e no redbull cans under the pedals or sellotape holding the gearknob on!

and thats it really, before you come along, check oil and water levels, check for any leaks, make sure its service schedule is up to date and check tyre pressures. The dyno operators have the right to check and refuse any cars where necessary. Its for the safety of the cars, staff and other customers attending. The dyno will put less stress on the car than when its being driven in normal conditions on the road, in perfect conditions being monitored by £50,000 worth of equipment so dont worry about the car blowing up, its not any more likely to happen on the dyno than when you drive the car down the road.

Costs are as follows:

Basic Run is £30 and you will get power and torque (at flywheel) graphs. Gives a good indication of how the engine is running and can show up any possible problems that may not be apparent under normal driving conditions.

Full run is £40 and you will get the same as the basic run plus an air/fuel ratio graph and a boost graph (if car is turbocharged) this is an Ideal option for modified engines and can also show where more power can be made and what future mods will compliment the current setup.

typical power graph:

a recent car we had in for setting up on the rolling road

we can cater for everyone needs so feel free to give us a ring and we will be happy to help

love to attend but sadly I'm 4wd, or rather the car is, and if 540's your RR's limit it'll be over that frown

Still, might pop in and say hello sometime smile

i dont know where you got the 540bhp limit from as thats no where near true!

our dyno has a recommended limit of 1200whp i dont think many things in the northeast could over power it lol

that was just that particular dyno run scaled down so the graph is easier to read! its a bit silly yo constantyl have 1200bhp up one side if a car is only making 200bhp

Hmmm, I missed out on a dyno run at the Wedgefest a couple of weeks back so would be interested; car's just a lowly '87 TVR 390SE but with untested mods. so if it makes 200 bhp I'd be surprised...

well guys like i said if any of you would like to start up a list of who would like to attend a rr day and sort out a date that would be good for everyone! we prefer to do rr days on a saturday or sunday so we dont get noise complaints from the neighbours (next door is a dog rehab center lol)

we can only give the prices listed in the first post for a dedicated rr day of say 10 or more cars! if we get the odd one or two then im afraid the normall rr prices will apply which is £35 for a normal run or £45 for a premium run which would include afr graphs!

so if a few of yous are interested its maybe a good idea all round to get a few more interested and sort out a day that suits all
