I looking to get some polycarb windows for my polo and was just wondering how they were fitted.

Do they just sit in the original rubbers or do they get screwed to the body ?

there's a few ways mate. Most tend to bond them in, but having seen a couple fly out on clubs I'm involved with, most folks tend to rivet or screw them as well as bonding with windscreen bond.

Think I am going to bond my rear on in but I was just going to use the original rubbers for the sides .

Talking with the company who are supplying them they said just to use the original rubbers for the side windows and then just to bond the rear.

I have had 3 70mm holes cut into the rear ones to aid cooling so I am hoping this will stop them flying out ?

What do you recon ?

I would think they should know what they are on about, But my mate that was at york in that little ford 100e with the big supercharger as high as the roof had his window blow out only a couple of months ago.
I would think they are expensive too so you could do with them stopping in.
