Hopefully the title has your attention!

I know this might seem a little cheeky but if you don't ask you never get.....

It's my girlfriends birthday in three weeks time and I'm planning a special trip out(no, not the oxo tower). I'm taking her to a posh hotel to be pampered for the day, then we're going for a romantic picnic where I'll give her presents to her.

Now, being the good girl that she is, my girlfriend absolutely loves TVRs (especially Tuscans). So far she hasn't ridden in anything more exotic than my brother's ST24 and I was hoping that there might be a PHer in the Newcastle/Morpeth area who would like to have an excuse to go for a lovely country drive and deliver her to the hotel in style.

Normally I wouldn't go to quite such extreme measures to ensure she has a great day, but as I'll also be proposing to her, anything that puts her in a "yes" sort of mood can only be a good thing! She will be completely unaware of what will be going on as we're off to New York for the New Year and I think she's expecting me to pop the question there so this would be an awesome surprise.

As I'll be blowing most all of my budget on the hotel and ring, gratuity payment will be limited to beer and pies. So is the allure of having a beautiful young women in your passenger seat for half an hour or so enough for some kind-hearted soul to help me out?

Oh yes, it might help to know it's on Wednesday 8th August!

Pleeeeeeeeease!?

I'd do it, but a T plate Mondeo with a gas cov isn't quite the same pedigree I reckon. Seriously hope it works out.

Just one thing though, aren't TVRs a tadge unreliable - so there is an increased risk in her not arriving hence a higher risk of much pistoffness when she sees you!!! Just a thought idea

Dan, I reckon a call to Hexham Horseless Carraiges is in order and arrange yourself to take out a Tuscan to drive your good Lady to said Hotel driving

Yeah, I'd thought of the hiring option, however my plan involves her arriving separately to me hence the need for a taxi ride. If there's no-one that can help (it really doesn't have to be a tuscan!) then it might be the way forward.

You might just be able to save me! The good lady is a particular fan of the more modern TVRs (she can tell which model is which, which is quite impressive for a non-petrolhead girl!). If you're around please let me know so I can make me plans!

It'll just add to the excitement! Well, actually it would royally piss me off, but as I'm currently Tuscanless it's not that big of a deal!

Really?! Mate, that would be perfect! There's talk of a mini-hoon being organised if they can get together at the right time of day (lunch-time), but I have to say that your car (and you!) sound perfect!

The plan is to pick her up at our house in Forest Hall at about 12ish, and for her to be driven to Linden Hall for a day of pampering.

You'll have a best mate for life if you can do this!

Awesome!! bounce I'll PM you the details and whatnot. Consider yourself booked! driving

I'll see what's going on minihoon-wise, it'd be amazing if there was a convoy of TVRs!

Speaking from a girly point of view any car thats purple is fab! I think that she will be very impressed by all your attenton to detail and the effort that you have put in. Mr Designer and myself will be at Linden Hall for my friends wedding the day after which is a shame as we will have to miss the mini hoon as he's at work day before. Wishing you all the best!smile
