Anyone know who might do this in the North East and has anyone any experience of such stuff, is it worth the cost/hassle?

All over the front of my liz - cost about £400, but then that's about the same as respraying the front of my liz.
When I get home I'll sort out the info - best to go direct to them.

I would be interested in the info too, as I am getting mine repaired next week and want some Amourfend on to stop the stone chips returning.

They have templates for cars so the elise sections fit perfectly around all the nooks and crannies.

Handwashing then becomes a priority because jets will eventually peel it all off.

I've had a couple bad moments where large stones have hit me, as well as being sprayed like a shotgun blast with gravel when behind Sideways Dan and Ld1racing when on THIII, but it's stood up to the battering great.

Not overly noticeable.

They have templates for a fare few cars.

Hope that helps.

ps. Most people aren't even aware it's on your car.

Have a look the front clam on my liz next week if you're coming to the pub so you can see the quality of the job.

I have asked the following companies for quote to cover the front clam and side sills:

Amourfend
Paintshield
VentureShield

Paintshield have come back to me and quoted £575 + vat to do it at mu house, but they can knock it down to £530 + vat if I get it done on a certain day (must have the installer in the area).

I will edit this to include the prices quoted by the other two companies. Looking forward to getting my car back as i have not driven it for about 3 weeks whilst its been getting repaired.

Price has gone up since I last had it done;as long as you're are intending to keep the car for about another 3 - 4 years it works out a helluva lot cheaper than resprays every couple of years. Have you informed them about your stipes as that may affect adhesion.

I had mine done at HHC - car was washed, prepped and delivered back immaculate - shout goes out to them for the quality of service on that.

VentureShield have just come back. They can cover just about the whole front of the car and sills for £500, but I am just opting for the 'Bumper' section and sills as I dont really need the 'Hood' and that will cost £380 fitted at their premesis in Newcastle.

See here for whats included: http://www.ventureshield.com/pattern_search.asp#Re...

European, Auots, 2001, Lotus, Elise S2

So I will be getting everything but the 'Hood Package' for £380 fitted. I will let you know how I get on.

Have look here to see how it protect your car, even when bumped and scrapped: http://www.ventureshield.com/showcase.asp
