Can anyone recommend a good audio installer in the north-east region. Preferably one with experience of TVR's or other GRP bodied cars.

Started using the Cerbie a lot for work and fancy getting a decent install put in.

Cheers

Not sure whether or not they have experience with TVR or similar cars but seen as you're in Sunderland why not try 'Turners'.
I was thinking about taking my Tuscan there to see what they thought.
I have used them in the past. They were not cheap but the quality was good. This was around 8-10 years ago.

I've taken 3 cars to them and I've never been 100% happy with the job that they've done.
Golf, used the original stereo power cable which couldn't source enough current. Everytime i turned it up the display pulsed and then it tripped off.
Chim, was quite happy but took it back because it had alternator whine due to a bad earth. Fair play they fitted a device to reduce the noise, free of charge. However when this didn't work they just turned the gain right down on the amp.
Corsa, one speaker resonated that bad I had to turn the headunit into minus bass and turn the volume right down. Didn't bother taking it back just fixed it myself.

I've seen some of the high end stuff they do and it's awesome just dont think they give the smaller jobs the same level of attention.

I once got some top quality equipment from 'Autosounds' at Newcastle. I installed it myself so don't know much about there installations.

I may have a run up there over the weekend, if i get the chance.

I'll check out autosounds. I work in newcastle so would be ideal if they are close to the town centre.

Their on scotswood road, close to the town end. Ive used them a few times, no complaints here.

You could also try Car Audio Telecom in Gosforth on the high street near Asda, Ive heard good things about them. My mates used them a few times for work on his porsche.

Ice Works on peterlee industrial estate. They are in yellow pages. I know the guy and he used to work for turners but set up on his own. He has been over to america and stuff and won competitions for installs using fibreglass and other stuff.

Seen alot of his work and he is very clever!

Dont know anything about his prices though.

I was thinking bout something like this in the helmet holder to provide a bit of bass and a set of decent components upfront all ran off a couple of amps. Though i'm open to suggestions.

I'm planning on taking a half day and heading round all the companies suggested in newcastle see what they recommend. Thanks for the info.

Car Audio in Gosforth fitted my Genesis amp( long before Turners had even heard of them!!) in my old car. I went back with the Chim and was quoted £450 to fit head unit, changer, amp and front speakers and had to listen to 1/2 hr of complete and utter shite about what they were going to do and how good they were.I've mentioned before but I wouldn't trust any of them up here
