Just wondering who you guys are insuring your pride and joy with at the moment. My renewal is up and i'm getting a wide variety of quotes through various brokers. Should i be worried who the actual insurance policy is actually with via the broker(e.g highway and groupama? ) or am i looking into this too much?

nothing wrong with using brokers or direct, just be sure that the terms and conditions of the policy are read thoroughly, most people don't and some of the things some policies contain is quite shocking.
I'd personally avoid anything with the initials AF and anything underwritten by Highway robbers as they're useless when it comes to making a claim or trying to get some customer service.

I'm currently insured by prestige who are underwritten by norwich union, and am suitably impressed. Price is exceptionally low, T's and C's are all good, and best of all they've dealt with a claim brilliantly (not claiming from them, from another party).
Previously used A-plan, HIC, and Sky insurance, and all have seemed pretty decent.
Also got another car insured with direct line, which is a bit more of an everyday car and they proved very cheap

CCI for me - Competion Car Insurance, great cover and includes 4 free trackdays. Cheapest by miles, even with a Honda conversion and 'interesting' history - ie banned from totting up when I rode bikes etc.

If your elise is a second car try Hagerty, I pay around £250 a year for a TVR Chimaera.

So do they insure non competition sports cars? Their website seems to indicate its for competition cars only.

'A' Plan for me, but, and i don't want to find out, i have no reason to call them so don't know what they will do if i have a problem.
But they did there best to beat anything i could come up with for my Tuscan.
