Hi, everybody we need your cars for an amazing racing game coming out on the xbox 360.Do you want to hear your car in a game and get on the credits list. Basically we need to record engine sounds. We do have a list of the type of cars we are looking for, but we do not want to narrow our chances of finding cars,we want a big variety of sounds from big to normal, from petrol to diesel. tech info:
Option 1
We need to capture your car at rev ranges from 1-7 or 1-6 (depending on the car). You will have to hold your car at each rev for 15-20 secs. The engine will need to be under stress for use to get the best sounds, one option is to take the car up a step hill and hold all the rev ranges in first gear. ONLY IF YOUR CAR IS GOOD ENOUGH TO TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Option 2
You take your car to a rolling road in warwickshire where we record the car
Both options we give you £50 for your trouble and pay for all petrol there and back, or with option 1 we pay for petrol costs for driving.
This is your chances to get your car in massive xbox360 game and maybe even in the film. We are Midway games based in the Newcastle area. Cheers. Craig

Hi Craig,

I work at Midway Newcastle too - didn't know anyone else there used PH.

Anyway, why are you using a rolling road in Warwickshire? There's a really nice one only a few miles away behind Lanchester (McDonald Racing).

What sort of cars are you after? I took my kit car there for a good thrashing and it was noisy as hell!

Is this a rolling road or a track?. If anybody does know of a rolling road close by can you give me a shout. Cheers

If you fancy a nice VR6 Corrado in the game I'm up for that, don't think I'll be quite as 'fruity' as the straight thru cerb mind....

I'd be up for it when the car's got it's new engine, but I don't think macdonald will let me on their RR due to it only being capable of fairly low power if memory serves, which I'm told most RR operators won't allow. Happy to help if it's feasible and falls at a good time.

I also work for midway newcastle (Audio department) and i'm helping Craig out with the organising of this epic car recording session. just to keep you all up to date this is the story so far...

we are looking to do the recordings around the end of April, probably at the weekend, (but weekdays would be better for us so if anyone is free during the week let me know !)

the rolling road hasn't been finalised yet.
keep the cars rolling in

Cheers Richard
