My BMW M3 needs a small rear bumper repair - The stealer is quoting £282
Can anyone recommend a decent paint shop (I work in Washington and live in South Shields) so somewhere local would be useful

I don't know anywhere your side of the water but at a last resort try Premier Vehicle Car Care on Rothbury Terrace in Heaton. I have used them on 4 seperate occasions on a brilliant black (non metallic) S4 and the work is first class with no shadowing. Speak to Mark O'Connor, very helpful and decent prices.

If you want a really cheap job, then go to Clifford Street Autobodies in Byker, on the back street by the police station and the bingo hall. I got quoted about £300 to £500 by the garages on Rothbury terrace but this garage charged me £40. Granted for the money you shouldn't be expecting show car finish but for small simple jobs, like painting, filling, or knocking bumps etcs out, scratches or machine polishes, their prices are very reasonable.
