Myself and a couple of frends are planning a run to the Lakes on Sun. 1st April
starting Stahope (provisional at the moment)finish Bowness-On-Windermere.

We have organised a run to Whitby for the past several years on the 1st Sun in April, at first for MG club but as we bought other makes more diverse cars (and even the odd bike or two)were joining in.

In the last few years there have been BMW, Porche, Alfa, TVR, Corvete, Sunbeam to name but a few,And a lot more interesting it is for the run to see different makes

So I thought I would put this post on so any Pistonheader's could pencil into there diary if interested.

Alan.

This sounds like a lot of fun, I will have just gotten my 1st paycheck from my new monthly contract so I'll see how skint I am, if I'm ok, then I'll come along.

Can some other members of my car club come along?

Hi Mr Roll... Yes members of your club would be welcome. (is roll a hint to Make)
As time gets closer to the run an idea of numbers would be helpful in knowing how many route sheets to print,
about three year ago we printed approx 80 and ran out.

Its been dead since they inflicted that bloody speed limit on the lake, still its a nice drive over and Hartside is always fun.

You could head over to Wasdale: pub at the head of the lake, huge scenery and minimal tourists, ideal photo location (where the current AA 'you got a friend' ad was filmed)...

The route has now been scouted. the meeting place for the start is The Dales Centre Stanhope.
Leaving at 10am.
We will be checking the route again a week or two before the run,and trying to get the coffie shop to open a bit earler(open's 10am normaly)at the Dales Centre.
On the run feel free to stop when and where you like, I for one will be having at least a beacon butty at the Hartside Cafe And a look at the bikes.
