I passed a TVR that appeared to have lost traction and spun off the road, just clipping someone's rear garden fence. A couple in a Saab stopped to help.

The driver - 50's guy - appeared to be shaken, but unhurt.

I hope he is back on the road soon.

Oops. Colour/Model??

I was out yesterday for the first real hoon of the year, it was great but had to remind myself the roads were still a bit slippery (especially up on top of weardale on the stanhope-egleston road.

Mind you, I saw no other sportscars except a very old 944 (I think), where was everyone?

How d'you know he was a 50s guy? Was it the teddy-boy quiff and the crepes'n'drapes that did it? I tell you what, clutch control in those winklepickers is bloody murder, and as for seeing through those NHS wire-frame specs, well it's no wonder there are accidents

Good old Darlington Lane, it's only a matter of time before it's a 30 limit with speedhumps and scameras... rolleyes Like the Ring Road, built to take traffic away from Stockton Centre and keep it moving. It's that slow now you may as well go through the bloody centre - in fact on the bike the centre is quicker. rolleyes

We should have a few more crashes down there like the scumbags who stuffed a Cosworth a decade or more back: one lost an arm and the other decapitated. Still, if you will let your older brother take you joyriding... rolleyes
