Can any body recommend a good bespoke exhaust outlet? It would be nice if it is:

In the North East
Not outrageously priced, dont mind paying the going rate for welding a few bits of pipe together and bolting them onto my car.
Professional workmanship.

Id ideally like a twin or even quad exhaust coming out of each side, no cat, nice and loud and burberley

Any input greatly appreciated

have a word with gadgearoonie on here (try the noble forums). a couple of guys from sunderland area were down to see my Dyno in action and gadge is the uk agent for teh dynos so he was here, and the sunderland guys were seting up a performance workshop of which exhaust manufacture was going to be one of their lines .. gadge (mike) might have more info ..?

other than that i can recommend exhaustsuk.com/co.uk in sheffield but might be a way for you to travel ..

There's a place called AES (at least I think that's what they're called) in Blaydon.
Can't vouch for the prices, but I've seen lots of their work and the standard is VERY high.

If your thinking of 'Advanced Automotive Systems Ltd' their very good. Its based in Bells Close Industrial estate at the end of Scotswood road, just past the big B&Q. I Work in the same industrial estate and when I get the chance have a nose about the garage. They get everything from custom systems on them fancy chopper motorbike things, to full on race cars, to rare classics and anything in between. Plus, their work is a lot more professional than regular powerflow places. They even do full titanium systems if you wanted.

Ive been told to go here by some lads at work, and steer well clear of the power flow place a bit further down the road, so I will give them a go, cheers

Found this on the internet - www.aas-exhausts.co.uk/

Also found out their a tein dealer too and do rebuilds and engine transplants etc.

Your best bet if your unsure is to go down and speak to them about what you'd be interested in having done and just having a look around their other work in the garage. They also, always have a big waiting list.

Hope this helps.

Can definately testify to the quality of the work from AAS, had a full stainless system done a couple of years back, after 18 months and 30k miles it still didnt have a single spot of rust on it.

Nothings too much for them and the prices are too low for the quality of the work, wouldnt use anywhere else.

They dont just do exhausts though, engine transplants and any crazy ideas they will normally take a look at!

I'll also vouch for Staurt at AAS. Have a full 3" S/S system on my S4 with 200 CPSI cats, all done and positioned for 40% of the price Milltek wanted for the same system. Not had a problem with it in the 12 months I have been running the full system and Stuart knows his stuff.

Thinking of going back to him for custom headers next but know it will be pricey. I will say that if you are after a shiney system thats not what you get, but they do use type 304 aircraft grade stainless steel so pretty much a lifetime warranty and the quality of workmanship is on a par if not better than off the shelf bolt together after market systems.

Brave man, should sound fantastic though. Just means IIRC you'll have to put cats in come MOT time and keep taking them out once passed.

Pic of mine to give you an idea of how good a job they do.....

Looks the business , my car is so old it dosent need a cat for the MOT, and it wouldnt really matter anyway as one of my best mates owns the garage where I get my MOT's done if you know what I mean.. nudge nudge, wink wink..
