A farewell post

Hello,

I've always been a believer in quietly slipping away from communities such as this without anyone noticing as in reality I won't be missed as new people come along to take my place. However, sometimes it's nice to be able to say "bye" to people you consider friends.

I no longer feel able to take part in PH discussions or events for various reasons - indeed I'm not even sure I can tell you why I no longer feel part of the community without "offending" certain parties. To that extent, after 40 odd months, been there at the first NE:PH meeting in Sunderland, Pistonfest, trackdays, opendays, helping to organise events and getting to know many of the nicer induviduals making up Pistonheads I have requested that PetrolTed deletes from profile from PH.

Stefan this is such a shame. I know you have your reasons, we have spoken of them off line but I'm sad that it has come to this. I would like to stay in touch and will e-mail you from time to time to see how things are for you.

Stefan, only known you a short while but I think its a great shame that you don't feel part of the community - saying goodbye doesn't need to permanent; we aren't going anywhere.

Hopefully I'll see you on the work run at least for our little mini convoy - take care mate and email me if you fancy a pint in town.

Stefan has been a NEPHer since the second NE gathering and the first Teesside/Newcastle gathering. His bizarre wit and desire for quirky cars has been a joy for me and I know many think of him fondly. He has helped behind the scenes on several occasions to aid me when pulling events together. He could always be relied on to bring fun to our events, his unusual views on life were always entertaining and people in his company would find it impossible not to smile.

I am very sad that events have transpired this way. Stefan deserved better. He did make an attempt to come back to PH after several months' absence but within a matter of hours PH let him down.

Stefan, I know how you feel mate and I know why you needed to do this. I'm just sad that it had to happen.

didn't know you that well, but im sorry its come to this....
ill definately miss you at events and miss your little yellow rocket
one of my best memories of ph will always be BB&T trying to keep up with you, and then being in the car with you and scampering off.
