treasure hunt club/meet
Discussion
Hi
A lot of years ago I had a MX5 and had great fun meeting some pistonheads and doing a treasure hunt around the south of Leeds area then back to the pub to chat about those do or die moments.... I was always last but im sure I had the most fun it was great fun and the crack was good I was wondering if anyone knew of any such club/meet in the Northallerton area?
Thanks
Phill

Great classic car... fantastic video I recognize a few places on it.
Are you the man that does the arranging of the events/hoons?
When we did the hunts they was a time limit and a load of places to recover codes i.e. telephone box number.. you got points for each treasure found and they were given to you on a map 10 min before you set off and whoever got the most treasures wins... oo yea you were on a time limit and every 5 mins you were late one treasure was deducted.... simple
It would be great to arrange one if they is any interest!!

Zebra is the main organiser now; he is on his hols at the mo.
As bob says, Zebra's the one to talk to & it's something I was going to speak to Zebra about on his return.
I was talking to someone down south and they mentioned a Dabloon Hoon and It's something I thought would be a good idea to have up here sometime.

That was my job until recently. Zebra is the main organiser now; he is on his hols at the mo.I just happened to have helped organise Toon Hoon II and I tend to organise lotus runs in the North East on a reasonably regular basis(via LOTEES forum and none lotus mates tend to get passes (yeah, you know who you are!)), but Bob is still the main organiser in my opinion.
Which remind me Bob, sorry for still not getting in touch, what with holiday and man flu I've been a bit out of it - will give you a ring once Christmas is out of the way.

I think once I get the elise I will have to attend a LOTEES meet... looking for one now.. watch this space
