(Sorry if this is a repost but I couldn't find a regional cars thread.)

Car looks nice but I can't help thinking it must drive like sh1t since you lowered it 35mm and put 18" rims on.

I can't really comment on handling as I haven't driven that many cars in my lifetime but from my limited experience, even on 18's its a better drive than other cars I've driven. (granted those cars aren't high performance car) By a better drive, its just so much more responsive and engaging than my friends car. I do however find it very skittish over rough surfaces, when cornering hard but that might be because of my driving. The rest of the time you can just feel it grip and matched to the weedy 99bhp 1.6 engine I'm not getting to speeds that challenge this level of grip. It'll have to do for now though and when I start making some decent money, I'll move onto something better.

(PS. I was kinda hoping people would post pictures of their cars.)

From one Focus driver to another, I like your car mate. I am a bit reluctant to do mine up because a) our lass drives it most of the time as I sont use it for work, and b) its only 18 months old and cant really afford / justify new rims etc. Also its the Zetec / edge suspension which is fairly rigid anyway. If I stiffened it up any more, you'd get back ache. When I get the thing polished I'll get a better pic, although it's totally standard except for the PH sticker thumbup Its a diesel too, paperbag but quicker than most of the petrols, and same performance as an Alfa 156 T-spark thingy, as I raced one and the gentleman driving it was well pissed when I pulled alongside him at the next roundybout! hehe

OK enough here's my crappy pic.... if it works..

I used to have this one... so it's definitely an improvement!

Pepole upload car pics to their profiles. Just click on their 'names' and there you will find their cars.

Not strictly a repeat as this thread is mainly intended for the North East section. I'm sure we've done the NE rides before, but it was a while ago and I can't be arsed to look for it.

For the record, I drive:-

Lincoln Navigator & Mini Cooper S

and I desperately need to get my profile updated with some new photos.

confused So you like your car to be skittish then? Ask yourself, did you put 18" wheels on to improve the handling or to make the car look better. The truth will out if you answer honestly.

Wouldn't be the black Murci I keep seeing around the place? Followed it along the A66 Newport in my TVR a few weeks back, sounded like he was holding 2nd gear unnecessarily, just for aural effect hehe
