Can anyone recommend somewhere where I can get a set of wheels re-powdercoated? I'm also looking for somewhere that can do an alignment on 18" wheels. Any recommendations?

Id recomend them too. They did a great job on my mates TT wheels. Think the price was reasonable too.

Absolute jokers with no manners or respect, just my experience like, but left a sour taste, not recommended.

Romax in Stockton by far the best and very quick turnaround 01642619196 can often do same day.

Another thumbup.

Anyone recommend an alignment place? Seems some places can't do 18" rims.

Robert Shaw Racing in Boldon can probably do the alignment for you.

Another vote for SEM here. Highly recommended, and know a lot of people that think the same.

Another vote for SEM, have used them for three years on all sorts of alloys and never had a problem with any of their work. Helps that Brian the owner is a TT fan and Audi fanatic for me anyway.

I can't fault the finished product from SEM but some of their attitudes stinks.
I rang on the morning and they said come through any time. Turned up at 12:50 they had a look and said could i come back after lunch or tomorrow to remove the wheel!!!!!
It does not take long to remove damaged and fit spare!! I'd travelled from near middlesbrough to sunderland on their reputation to be told that!!!
Not the best way to keep a good reputation!!!!

Must admit I haven't had that problem, largely because I have already taken the whhel in need of refurbishment off and its in the boot. Also fortunate enough to have two sets of alloy so can swap the whole lot but I realise running around on a spare if not full size could be a PITA

Perservere with them, the results are worth it.

Stella Blasting on the Stella Gill Industrial estate are great and a lot cheaper that SEM, usually costs around £50 a wheel and unlike SEM they do the inside of the wheel in the same finish.

Romax Ross road Stockton £40+Vat per wheel.
Powder coated inside/outside, tyres re-fitted & balanced all part of the service.
No point in going anywhere else.
