I've played my son that many times on the Playstation, I know the ring like the back of my hand. It's interesting to compare it to the real deal and one of my ambitions to drive it for real one day.
I'm thinking of the Cerburgring event next year (if I still have the Cerb), so how did you find acomodation prices, ferry prices and stuff like that and if you could do it again, would you do anything different?
Great video!

Thanks for the comments.

I did the same and believe me, it's very much not the same. You get no appriciation of the gradiants/adverse camber etc on the games. It can get very expensive very quickly. How ever fast you think you're going to be, there will be someone pi**ing all over you (i don't mean that in a negative way - it's just that there are people there that know the track and have a very fast vehicle
)
Zebra...
I'll be bringing the video setup with me. I'll show you then (ohh errr)

nice vid
How did you get round the "no photography" rule?
See link here [url] www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=18&t=310833 [/url]
Obvious you didn't put it on at the bridge & take it off in the exit slip...
Did you buy a permit or just not spotted?

We had five cars. Three fitted with bullet cams, non of which were "hidden". Ok maybe not totally obvious but defo not hidden. One passenger had a hand held camcorder, and she was told to put it down. Once thru the gate she carried on filming as in nothing was happening. In car/out car - all sorts. We weren't stopped, pulled up, spoken to in any way apart from the one incident.
Be discreet and keep it quiet and don't have an accident
.
They'll only ask you to put it away if they see it at the start, but it's a different story if you crash.....

Jim
How are you fixing the bullet cam in the car and how long is the connection lead; in other words how easy is it to still control the cam?
Have you fitted the bullet cam externally before?
Obviously you had music on the ring vid (good choices by the way) but whats the vid like on sound recording?

Alot easier than you may expect.
I went from Calais, so....
Follow A16 from Calais heading towards Ostend.
From then on, use the European road names. Look for, and follow E40
Past :- Ostend Belgium (A18)
Brussels Belgium (A10)(E40)
Liege Belgium (A3)
just past liege look for the E42 (A27 local name)
into Germany, road name change to A60 until (now it gets harder) juction for Prum
Keep RIGHT Prüm [4] 0.3 mi
Keep STRAIGHT onto E29 [B51] 4.6 mi
Keep STRAIGHT onto B410 4.8 mi
Turn LEFT (North) onto L10 [Hillesheimer Straße] 8.0 mi
Turn RIGHT (East) onto B421 [Augustinerstraße] 0.2 mi
Turn LEFT (North) onto L10 [Kölner Straße] 1.6 mi
Turn RIGHT (East) onto L10 [Hillesheimer Straße] 1.5 mi
Turn LEFT (North) onto L10 3.1 mi
Turn RIGHT (East) onto L10 [L70] 4.2 mi
Turn RIGHT (South) onto L10 1.0 mi
Turn RIGHT (South) onto B258 6.2 mi
Arrive L94, 53520 Nürburg
The run is about 280 miles.
Be aware of the speed limits in Franch and Belgium. Watch for the limits as they change in Germany (Germany is NOT automatically unrestricted)
.....I'll PM the exact route and map.
