Just wondering who is the best - not so much who looks the jazziest or has the flashest website, but actually getting tentants into properties.

I've got an apartment just opposite the hospital, and the current occupier has decided to move on. The current people I'm using don't seem to be all that good, it took them 3 months to find a tenant and they never notice that they are behind on the rent until we ask where our money is, we are constantly having to chase them.

So, new tenant, new property management company, I'm looking to use someone else this time, are there any recommendations?

My parents use Total Letting Group but I don't know if they cover Hartlepool.

It's a good idea, but it actually states in the deeds that I'm not allowed to use the dwelling for immoral purposes hehe They know the area so well!

It would be an ideal whore house as it has a CCTV controlled entrance and electronic gates, for when the Albanians come knocking on the door.

I use Copleys for Redcar but not sure if they cover north of the Tees. They're York and Ripon based but do quite a bit on Teesside. I only use them for tennant finding though as I'm not into paying 15% management fees for doing bugger all.

Byff, I looked into letting a couple of years back but it never materialised.
I live in the town and enquired at the local estate agents and a couple seemed fairly reasonable. I don't know the numbers off hand but the ones I would try are;

'*'Robinsons (pretty sure these do lettings, they sold my last house for me)

'*'Ron Greig (Greig Cavey) - If I remember correct, they did 2 or 3 different packages depending on how close you wanted to stay to the property. Can't remember exact prices but they deal with commercial and all that bollox, so they have a good reputation.

'*'Could also try Manners and Harrison (although I didn;t think too much of these when dealing with them a couple of years back)

'*'Whitegates (not sure if they do lettings though.)

Do a search on google or whatever for estate agents in hartlepool you should get all the nos.

Good luck.
