Hi all,

I am calling out for help!!!

I am looking for an industrial unit in the washington/birtley area.
It must the following requirements.

Hold 3-4 cars
3 Phase electricity for a 4 post car lift.
Cheap!!!

The plan is, to begin with, i am going to strip down my car.
Photo document everything and then the place will be available for hire to PH'ers who want to work on their cars.

If you know of anywhere please give me a shout.

Thanks

Andy

well if you see any units for rent / lease give me a shout.

This is mainly aimed at TVR restoration that i am going to be getting into but i thought it might come in usefull for other PH'ers.

Obviously it would not be open all the time but mainly saturdays, sundays and weeknights.

I've looked for units in Washington myself with a similar idea, but they are either a fortune to rent or they are in really bad areas (meaning, they get broken into nearly every other night)

I'm still looking.

thinking out loud is good.

Any ideas or pointers will be greatly appreciated.
I am currently looking around the Washigton area (easy access from the A1 and A19, and very close to my house) but can broaden the search!!!

Fully secure, within a compound with CCTV, literally a minute from Heworth roundabout.

Newly built, double storey roller shutter door, alarms can be arranged, full site connected to BT redcare, oh and right next to Pelaw Metro station, being advertised through Naylors.

I had a lock up there, although not in the compound your thinking of. Had a Generator, welder and a few odds and ends nicked, along with items from all but one of the other lock-ups. Strange how his got missed scratchchin and he was on holiday, so we couldn't get in to check if everything was ok (and to see if our nicked gear was in there). CCTV was useless, couldn't see a thing.

Units are in a C shape with cameras on every corner of the building front and back. We've been in 2 of the other units for a couple of years now and never had to use the CCTV buts its still there.

Hi Andy great idea.
having just spent a few hours under my car changing the oil and checking the other fluid levels
it would be far safer up on a lift, axle stands are not the best things to work under,
If you need some help with your car, drop me a line and I will give you a hand.
