Last night at the roundabout near Consett, a silver...ermmm....TVR..possibly a Griffith or a Chimaera??, soft top with the roof down.

Left the roundabout in a big cloud of tyre smoke, in fact it seemed to be leaving puffs of smoke all the way up the dual carriageway, then around the top roundabout and back down the same road, presumably to make the rear tyres even smaller.

Anyway, I was behind you, coughing in the cloud of tyre smoke, so thanks very much

It's a safety thing, TVR drivers know that having smaller back wheels makes the speedo read artificially high

It's bright orange, but you'll only have seen it on a trailer so far, as it's currently undergoing the SVA and registration process.

Was up that way a few times over the last few days. Not sure I remember lighting the tyres up though, and mine's more gunmetal than silver. There's a silver chim with blue roof kicks around Consett way too.

Did have a blast up the bypass, round the roundabout and back the other night though....week off work, after long day's decorating I thought I'd have a bit of a driving up the bypass and back and over to the A68 for a blast.

Cheers
Andy

Mmmmm that's my favorite road for warming the tyres up! Haven't been out for a couple of weeks
- tend to keep a low profile around Lanchester
Hi to all on this site - not posted here before - will try to get to Shaftoes next meeting.
