I know I'm home now - it's bloody freezing.

Things starting going downhill with the descent into Glasgow airport. Luggage took ages to appear on the carousel and when it did, our first bag appeared with a huge tear in the side, the wheels smashed off and soaking wet. Stood in a huge q to get a damage form as it appeared that the glasgow baggage handlers don't have the delicate touch. We could actually see them through the curtain throwing the bags onto the conveyor, dropping them from a height of around 5ft off the top of the wagon.

Got back to the carpark - ah yes, the TVR, we need to speak to you about it. Turns out the brand new battery that was fitted last month had gone flat - so flat that the car would start with the booster pack, but not run when ticking over (the alternator doesn't give enough voltage to charge the battery on tick over - only when it's revved). The fella did say that the two interior lights were on, which makes me think that they didn't shut the door properly when they parked it up.

I dare say that a run down the motorway would have sorted it out, but didn't want to risk it, so bought a new battery from the AA man with the intention of charging the other one as a spare. Headed off homewards and found that my windscreen wipers have packed in and it was a torrential downpour. Fiddled about with it and got the fast wipe working which got us home.

After all the messing around, my clothes were soaking wet and the car steamed up making visibility erm... foggy and driving back through glasgow, found ourselves driving alongside the Glasgow fun-run/marathon at 20mph, people waving at us and us feeling terribly uncomfortable with two bags stuffed in the boot and another squished on the center console - the car was like a sardine can!

As we were in the States, I bought loads of spares for the Lincoln. The fella who we'd house swapped with was using the Lincoln while we used his car. I've fixed his, while he's fcensoredked mine. I had to fix a few electrical gremlins on his Volvo and he's managed to wear the brake pads down to the steel and kept on using it, knackering the discs aswell. Luckily, I bought some pads, but the discs were too heavy so I didn't buy them - bloody typical eh! Don't suppose anyone is going to the states soon?

So what's wrong with a couple of manhole covers with bolt holes drilled in them, you don't need machined parts for agricultural vehicles

It's ok, it was only the Lard arsed Americana mobile. Apparently, he drove everywhere at 25mph anyway, even in the fast lane eek

You don't honestly think I'd lend him something valuable to me hehe
