Harsh and not even true. I must admit though, getting back to Barney in under 40 minutes from the lakes in air conditioned luxury beats the hell out of negotiating the A66 in the Ginetta while suffering a hangover.

I'll be in the G27, it needs to be roadworthy as it's in for MOT on Thursday morning.

I thought you were from Newcastle way, but got confused when you turned right at the traffic lights. Normally, I turn left and give it a bit welly up to the A177 and join the A1 there. Am I missing a potentially better route home or is it just a bit quicker?
