Power Run

Following on from this thread I've booked a Saturday morning power run at MacDonald Racing. We'd need to get there fairly early (ready for 9AM) and I'm sure we can sort out some prizes for winners of my made up catergories (e.g. prettiest mid engined, yellow car with black wheels, lowest engine capacity...)

They can cope with any 2WD drive cars with a max power of 350bhp. The number of cars is all to do with time taken, usually it takes around 20mins per car so if we aim for 15 cars we have a nice buffer. The costs are:

1 car : £40 per car
2-5 cars : £35 per car
6+ cars : £30 per car.

Who is up for it? So far we have:

Docevi1 - Stefan - GTM Libra 1.4
Wedg1e - Ian - TVR 390SE
grahamw48 - Graham - TVR 4.0lt Wedge

350 BHP? What if ya car puts more down? Is this the max it goes to?

I have to assume that it will only measure up to 350bhp although I have heard rumours that cars with much more power than the rolling road can cope with can break them...

If anyone is in doubt, give Peter a call at the venue. Top bloke who will be more than happy to answer your questions.

That car in your profile looks a lot like one I spotted in a 'Boro car park last week... don't want to say too much for obvious reasons: I was visiting a training centre next door...

That may well of been me. Taken the lady into town for some maternity wear.

hmm, so we are down to me and Wedg1e at the minute then... not exactly the big day that was suggested previously

Might be wise to cancel it...

I'll call Peter tomorrow and let him know the bad news. Means I can head to Leeds earlier anyway at least. Not sure that is a good thing though!
