Ooo, I've progressed from the head gasket.
That was easily solved, although I took the opportunity to port match the heads and inlet manifold.
The problem we have now is a rotten chassis, just found a hole in an inaccessible area.
So the body shell needs to come off, and if I'm going to that much trouble a lot of additional work will be getting done on the car, like revising all the suspension, new exhaust system, strengthening the whole thing and a few other odds and sods.
Don't expect to see the car this year at the very least.
Looks like I passed my welding course just in time....

Chris, ever get the feeling you bought a money pit?
Having had a bit of a think about this, I can honestly say no.
Yes, lots of time has been spent on it, but not a lot of money.
I didn't pay much for the car in the first place, and I reckon by the time I'm finished the work I'll have paid less than it would have cost me to get a decent car in the first place, plus it'll be a substancially better car.
And despite all my mutterings I do enjoy working on it.
I didn't buy the car just for driving (tvrbob, stop laughing!), it was meant to be something to work on, and a learning tool.
I've certainly learnt a lot!
If I can spare the time from the rebuild I'll pop along to the rolling road when you're all there.

Was it about this time last year I spotted you nearby? If so it must have been one of it's last runs then. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
