BBQ, beer and camping on the banks of Ullswater
Weekend camping plus a long Saturday afternoon drive over the Cumbrian mountain passs
The drive takes in Honister, Hardknott, Wrynose and Kirkstone Passes and many miles of curly country lanes.
A camping field has been set aside for us and includes toilets, showers and pot washing facilities. If you get tired of BBQ and fancy a run out for food etc. the site is within a mile of Pooley Bridge, drive or walk along the lakeside. The campsite will be available from Friday 9th June.
Joining details
No requirement to book, just turn up and pay at the campsite bungalow. (before pitching your tent)
Campsite fees are between £10 & £12/night depending on the size of your tent, pets welcome.
Location
Dunroamin Cross

I'll hand out maps and directions for the Saturday afternoon mountain pass drive if you want to join the run across these excellent drivers' roads. Make sure you have enough fuel; there are no fuel stops along the way.
