firstly,

im going to have my 206 gti 180 wheels re-furbished at romax in stocton because there absoulutley wrecked after all the curbs ive hit,

i hit one final curb which was a gigantic bummer as this is the worst one by far, my wheels are really bad...

im going to have them re-furbed so, is there a flexible fee depending on the actual damage, or is it just a set fee for per wheel...

also, what damage will all of this curbing cause? my steering wheel is shaking so i know i need a re-balance, but should i get the tracking done aswell because my car really has been banged around?

i remember when i bought it, i had my wheels balanced and it was like riding a bike on a new tarmaced road, now, even after a re-balance, it still shakes and jumps arround

secondly,

there isnt many cars goto the arniston center any more and south shields isnt too impressive the once or twice ive been there... where do you guys go?

How do you mean 'go'?

We don't tend to go and park up on a seafront on an evening - the guys from here usually have a drive out along some good roads, or will have a meet at a pub where good discussions etc take place.

Have a look at www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=226456&f=112&h=0 - that will give you an idea of some of the events taking place.

I don't usually make it to events - I haven't been to one in the Corsa for about 18 months, due to the sprog, but there are some great people who appreciate good cars and good company.

Get yourself along on the funrun.

We arn't the type of people that sit in a carpark all night. We meet up about once a month to kick ideas around about where we are going to go for a drive and what events we can do. We'll then go out and put plans into action

TVRBob puts a lot of effort into selecting the roads we drive, we have a cracking time.

Ah, Romax. Miserable Max more like. I wouldn't let him do my wheels if he was the last place in the country.

Nice try! Not from me though....I only cause problems, not solve 'em.

I always use SEM for anything I sell, but the only problem is I have to get the car on axle stands and take all 4 wheels over.

There's also Teesdale Powdercoating, it's run by Motorcool Services in Thornaby. That's where I go now.

WADR Anth, you also need to examine WHY you keep hitting kerbs? It will cost a fair bit to repair or replace your wheels, plus probably need new tyres; there is also a very good chance that you have bent or broken suspension or steering components as well...

I would recommend ditching the Lax Power link on your profile too, won't win much respect here I'm afraid
