hi people,

i have been reading these posts on the forum as i have just curbed my wheels, there real bad too..

i hope you dont mind, but i have joined as a member, i have a 206 gti 180 bhp and would love to tag along...

a question to start me off,

what is the difference between alloy wheels that are "curbed" and the difference to "splits"

Hi Anth and welcome to NEPH. I'm not sure what you're asking regarding your alloys.

Oh and your website address gave me a laugh, no offence but maxpower people are the source of much hilarity on these pages.

I would hazard a guess that your "curbed" alloys are those which have been driven into a curb, Splits are more than likely split rims - i.e. the rim is bolted onto the spokes (for the want of a better word).

Welcome to PH Everyone here is more than friendly.

With any luck you don't drive your 206 in the same fashion as the arsepipe who did the other day on the A19, trying to prove his was 'faster' than my TVR

Maybe if he chucked away the 500Kgs of bling that it was decorated with, he might have had a chance... as it was, he did the usual thing and resorted to Driving Like A Wanker to get in front.

He wasn't there for long...

lol dont you just love people like that

i had a 1.1 saxo with 5 people up, the usual tat clad to it ( "lexus" lights, stickers, looked like it had ram raided ripspeed at halfords )with 300bhp on his number plates, trying to race me in the skyline yesterday
would have been funny if he did have, especially as he had jammie dodger sized wheels on it!

Most of those rude young people with checked hats are on drugs. They need curbing.
