Got the Cerb in for a rolling road tune up and the fella's just phoned up to say that he's mightily impressed with the car

It's all ready to be picked up, but I can't get there till tomorrow morning. I can't wait to see what sort of power it's running and how the graphs work out. Am I a bit sad to be that excited about a bit of graph paper with squiggles on?

I'm thinking of opening a book on what it's BHP is....I'm going for 349 BHP, any other guesses?

Why, how many Big Hairy Pussycats can you get under your bonnet?

Unfortunately, they don't run the rolling road anymore

He say's he just doesn't have the time and wont run it unless it's something interesting, which he say's mine is, but couldn't due to a hill climb Ferrari being done.

He has cured my little stutter at power take up, new HT leads and a new set of plugs (which I'd guessed was the culprit, but wanted an excuse to rolling road it), but to play about with it on the RR, I'd have to take it back later. So looks like I'll have to wait till later to see my graph paper full of squiggly lines.

Does anywhere else have a RR? Only other place I know about is (was?) Swift Motorsport down at Peterlee, but don't know if he's still there.

I think Macdonald Racing has one (the Morgan Dealer in Lanchester 01207 520 916), but i'm not sure what it's rated upto.

I've only got the one big hairy thing, but I tend not to wave it around under my bonnet, the wife would kill me

I've been begging Paul to set up the Indy on his rolling road, but he keeps using that Ferrari as an excuse. Shame as he's just up the road from me and services both of my tin tops.

I finished the car back in November, but only recently got a dynojet kit for it. So what I need is a two wheel rolling road that knows how to tune bike carbs. Closest seems to be Holeshot in Bradford, and while he has a good reputation and his prices are reasonable it's a long drive just for that.

If anyone can recommend a good rolling road in the North East please let me know.

Mike

PS Byff I guess that was yours in there on Friday of last week? Deep red metallic and private plate. Spotted.

You can get your cerbie rolling roaded anywhere if it's just a power run you're after .. but there's only three places that can get access to the ecu maps to change anything .. me, austec and tvr power/factory ... so if you actually want anything *tuning* as such you're a bit limited where you can go.

It's just a power run now, but originally, it was to find the cause of a stutter at about 2k revs which only happened under load. Got some magnecour leads and new plugs and all's sorted now. Turns out the internals of the old leads were only just contacting the plugs.

I'm under the impression that it can't really be *tuned* easily, unless you can convince me to have a run down and see you? I know you preform miracles, but what can you do to a 4.2 where I'll see rewards?

Glad you said that - I have my Tiger Super6 booked in this Saturday for a proper carb setup.
