anyone know a place in north east for rad. recore and any idea of cost ?
damn radiator was replaced in 2003 too and now has a leak when up to 90 degrees and fan cutting in .Most of the time it's leak free but might as well have it sorted before the summer comes

cheers

He's got a bit of a dodgy reputation, but under the Queen Alex bridge in Sunderland, there's instarad

He's gone under a couple of times from what I've heard, but I can't fault his quality of work. Re-cored my Jeep's rad perfectly, looked like brand new.

Edit to add, you'll have to take the rad to him.

the place recommended under the q alexander bridge - I'm in S/S so handy for me - 45 quid for a fix up as the rad was only 2.5 yrs old and a small leak - , he reckons about 80/90 quid for a full recore though which was cheaper than other quotes, still have an issue with fans running though - when rad removed shorting otter gave me both running now that rad in place no fans running even when shorting across otter , shall loook at in a week or so as back to aberdeen tomorrow
