Yes It’s Shafto’s again!!

After much deliberation and a few failed attempts at improvement towards the end of last year I suggest we revert to using Shafto's as our meeting place until a better venue is found.

I spent this Sunday hunting for a suitable alternative and guess what, it's not possible to find a nice place that isn't packed out (car park too).

I’m going to book Shafto's so that they can hold a group of tables for us.

If anyone knows of a suitable alternative we could perhaps go to check things out when we leave Shafto's after Saturday lunch.

Hope to see you there. Lets hope some of our new NEPHers find there way there too.

Unfortunately, I'll be in EuroDisney - trying not to show my utter hatered of the French. They've spoilt a perfectly good country, which lets face it, has some fantastic driving roads.

Park being the operative word. The carpark is small and was full last time; we actually had someone take the very last space. I don't think it's fair to risk that people travel a long way to find there's nowhere for them to put their PJ. It's also in town which is something we do try to avoid, passing scrotes etc.

Thought you'd already done that!

I bet getting them back in will be painful (for him, any way)...

Shafto's certainly has a decent car park and I would attend but Saturday is a normal working day for me I'm afraid! Oh and LoopyJ also at work!

Mine have 'Sweet Dreams' printed all over them, except for a few spots where they have 'Sweet Drams'
Whiskey fanciers pajamas perhaps?

Eek just washed the car (for the first time this year ) and thought, oh Its Neph today, I'm late. Fortunatly I checked gassing to see what time it was first, otherwise i might have had a rather lonely pub lunch at shaftos...

Hopefully will be able to make it next week. BTW, what time is 'lunchtime'?

Just thinking of some places were the gathering can be held. Teeside park just off the A66 has a huge carpark and a lot of eating places. I have never really seen that car park that full always plenty of space.
Just a sugestion!

Hi martyn, nice motor.

The March gathering is a special. It's called the Cobweb run and there is a thread on the NEPH Forum.

The next pub meet is 24th April, all event dates can be found on the first post of the 'sticky' thread on the NEPH Forum.

We tried the pub on Teesside Park a couple of years ago. The NEPH population centre is a little further north, which is why our meetings are always in the Durham area. If you know of any good pub up there I would be happy to check them out.
