The Elise was collected by its new owner on Saturday, a sad day for me!

Anyway I collect my new car this Saturday so the fun will begin there I hope. Its not as fast as the Elise, but more powerful, it has 3 doors so enough space for 4 adults (so room in the back for the girls) a bomb proof engine, and its black. The GF has been keen for me to get this car too

Can you guess what it is yet?

Thanks for that mate, I'm pleased with it too (well, will be on saturday)

I'm just waiting for the regular NE members to pop up and slate me for jumping from a genuine Brit sports car to a Jap 3 door hatch........wait and see I guess

I can't believe you just did that, are you mad etc etc etc.....

Serioulsy, a fine choice. You'll have to tell me how it handles etc - I quite like the look of them myself.

Good choice, just keep an eye on how much oil it uses, other than that, bulletproof.

No mate, that's a fine car. I have loads of respect for them and they do hold their own on the track. Very understated after the Elise though.

Cheers Byff, I will update you all on my thoughts once the initial grin factor has gone!

Yeah, some people have mentioned that its essential to check the oil level every week. Using the VTEC range 6-8K RPM is the main problem AFAIK

Yep, agree Bob, very normal compared with the Elise. it should be ok on the track, i will have to try it out

it should be quick enough, its got a 6 speed box to help it along. mid range pull is pretty impressive and VTEC is like warp speed 9

Isn't is Saturday Yet......

Can't wait to pick it up, its going to be a delight to drive day 2 day compared to the Elise. It's first run out will involve me plus 3 others on a shopping trip (impossible in the Lotus) so that will be unusual for me.

The GF wants to drive it instead of her car but I can't see me settling for a new shape mini every day

........and what's wrong with a new shape mini, sooo much fun when driven with a little bit of healthy disrespect! I wouldn't swap mine.

Hey Paul,

Looking forward to seeing it when you pick it up. I'm sure I've got some Blitz and HKS etc stickers lying around for you to stick on you door.

Seriously though, not a bad choice considering your new "pipe and slippers" persona.

Not that I can talk, been having impure thoughts about an M5!

I see you have registered on Japnortheast. Going to the Sunday meet?

I might be there, have not decided yet. If I am, I’ll be parked up with the rest of the Skylines, I don’t think you will miss mine.
