HHC are putting on three trackdays this year, see 'NEPH 2006 events' above. I shall be booking up and enjoying the open pitlane format.

The best I can say is yes and no. There were several other makes at the last HHC day but in the end Tony who runs HHC will have the final say.

Unfortunately won't be going to either of the first two trackdays (current insurer won't allow trackdays). However renewal is in September and hopefully car will be fully run in by then (6,000miles) so the September trackday could be a goer

£199, you pay more but you get more. Open pitlane, lower number of cars on track, no boy racers, etc., ect.

You can buy temporary trackday cover from other insurers. It costs more but you can usually make a saving on this by covering more than one event.

The MSA via ATDO (Motor Sport Association via Association of Track Day Organisers) rules require tracks to manage the issue of mixed experience and ability. Most tracks have interpreted this as meaning the must segregate the different levels into novice intermediate and experienced. The ATDO also recognised that for club or 'one make' trackdays the rule should be relaxed. Croft have interpreted this as meaning public trackdays need to be sessioned while club or similar events organised by others can remain open pit.

When I organise events at Croft I usually take one of the session slots. That leaves Croft to split the other two as novice and experienced. My session is of mixed ability but that's OK because I act as an additional organiser so Croft treats this as a club event.

The MSA has the right to change things though so it is not sensible to promise open pit. If rules remain as is then open pit should be the order of the day

OK I guess it's a red 1990 S3C motorshow car then.

I'd love to make it for the run; I'm avoiding committing to things at present because circumstances have taken over my free time. I'll commit nearer the time.

Having spent a very pleasant hour at HHC yesterday, I hope to get to at least one, if I've still got the Noble and if not, if there are any places spare, in the newly silenced (courtesy of A.A.S. exhaust manufacturers of Newcastle) R5 Turbo 2
