Can anyone reccommend a decent place preferably around Newcastle to service an old TVR Wedge running the old Rover V8?

www.performanceparts was really good and knows loads about TVR`s but you could do basic servicing yourself with a haynes manual. It`s very straight foreward...

Can you give that link again?
was thinking about doing it myself but getting underneath to change the oils is a pain plus you sometimes have to Prime the oil pump on the old Rover V8's so i would prefer to give it to someone else to do.

Have we treated ourselves to a little wedge to tide us over Darren?

Yes bought an old Wedge 390SE to keep me in TVR ownership but at the cheaper end needs a little TLC and a few bits sorting but seems to be a solid car .... will look for a Sagaris when the prices drop another 10K or so.

Falcon Performance in middlesborough.

They did a very good job on mine and it came to £260 including all parts and oil. They normally do Austin Martins and other top marque cars...when i was there they had a lamborghini and a couple of ferrari's in as well as nice looking Cerb.

Cant fault them...especially as he said the next service will be cheaper if i do a website for them!!!!

I'm in Teesside, I could do it for you. Wouldn't cost trade rates either

Oil, filter, plugs, crankcase breather, flame trap, timing, CO, fuel pressure...how's that for starters?

Have a 390SE myself, high mileage but still fun

Be careful i might take you up on it. Looking at the old Wedge bible i might just do it all myself nothing to complicated in there .... just the oil change and the possibility of having to prime the oil pump is a little worrying ..... most people seem to say if you don't leave it too long to refill with oil your ok.

This one in an 87 E plate, Audi Oceanic Blue with 67K mls on it but had a TVR power rebuild some time ago, interior is a little rough round the edges so will swap over the drivers and passengers seats, the car has a few stone chips, RT racing in Sheffield looked at the chassis about 2 1/2 years ago and gave it a good coat of waxoyl (sills off etc) but i am going to get under it and clean all the outriggers down, hamerite and waxoyl it myself. Last owner had it 14 years before moving to one of the last Griffs, he is sorting all the old bills out for me .. nice chap.
Gorgeous exhaust note that i have to say it is louder than my old Cerbera and that had the sports cans on it.

That'll be the one that was at HHC a few weeks back? I know a couple of people who were interested. Not THAT interested, obviously

Yes it was up at HHC the guy who used to own it traded it for one of the last 100 Griffs.
Just been up to see him and he has given me a huge folder full of receipts for all the work done in the 14 years he had it.
Had the engine rebuilt by TVR power, new clutch, recon steering rack etc so overall seems a very geniune car. He said mechanically there wasn't anything he knew that needed doing just the chassis needed another good rub down and waxoyl as it was done a few years ago now.
He gave me a Sony 10 way CD player for the car as his Griff already had one fitted, some matched paint and some Renovo hood restored .... really nice guy.
