Yes it's on the A19 left hand side going south from Peterlee just before A19 test and tune, good size car park.

It's a long way for you lot to travel. The carpark is good and the pub would have space for us.

Went past the dolton lodge last week yes it has a good size carpark about 100 but there is building work going on and it is always full of kids running around.
But it would be handy for me to meet you gays.

What about the Ravensworth Arms? Good sized carpark, good food and the staff are friendly.

Situated just off the A1(M) spitting distance from the Angel of the North. Might be a bit too far north for the Teeside contingent but otherwise it would be perfect.

Agree with Byff on that one, Ravensworth is good.

How about a pub in the South Sunderland/Durham city area - how about "The Moorings" near Beamish. Decent size carpark, maybe 30-40 spaces and the food is good, maybe a little more expensive than Shafto's but not an arm and a leg.

Byff, you might know the guy who owns it, He was the guy who owned Archers in the village before Paulo bought the business and called the restaurant Romano's.

Just a few more suggestions from a mate at work

Duke of Wellington which is on A167 at the next set of traffic lights southbound to Nevilles Cross.

The Pot and Glass which again is on A167 at the next set of traffic lights northbound to Nevilles Cross (the Bearpark turning)

The Pumphouse (which supposedly you have to book) is on A177 just next to Houghall college which is just on the outskirts of Durham.

The Red Lion which is A167 heading towards Chester-le-street.
