I've got my first interview!
Discussion
its not until next Friday, but my first interview in 2 years. I'm not holding my breath to be honest.
I'm hoping that this is the start of many good news'es - at least someone has shown a partial interest and it's only taken 3months of applications.
Still, the job description sounds fantastic and its pretty much exactly the role I wanted to do when I came out of Uni so going to prepare fully for it!

at least with this one I know there are only 3 or 4 potential's so I'm in with a decent chance!
Still, you know me, I can talk the hind legs off donkeys at 20 paces so we shall see. I've everything crossed at the moment mind!
edit:: has the new little-un arrived yet?

Whatever you do, if you're asked a question that you don't understand, ask THEM to be more specific.
I had an interview about 100 years ago for a programming job (I think they're called software engineers now) where the guy asked me what I thought about Michael Jackson's techniques. Now, unbeknownst to me, we had only been doing monolith coding and there was this chap, MJ, who was a pioneer in structured coding. I thought - "What a strange question, perhaps they're trying to soften the atmosphere and get me talking about non-work issues". So off I went, talking about how much I appreciated the full, bass sound that his recordings contained and that I thought he stood head-and-shoulders above his brothers. Well, the look on the faces of the interview panel was a picture. The interview was drawn quickly to a close and I was bid farewell. Not surprisingly, the refusal was in my 'snail mail' box by start-of-business the next day.
Good Luck !
