thinking ahead somewhat, does anybody out there know where I can get some info on how to improve the performance of my mini? I'm thinking along the lines of tuning, chipping & brake upgrades.

There are JOHN COOPER CONVERSIONS, and also lots of superchargers and heads on ebay, i dont know why they take them off,i would ask the seller who and what they did to theirs,
what model is yours?
I fitted coopes s bonnet,bumpers spots and centre exorst to a cooper,

I understand there's an upgraded supercharger that fits straight onto the standard Cooper S head. I think these are the spare parts from those conversions.

The Cooper is, AFAIK, a remapped BMiniW One, and chips are readily available for the purpose of conversion; the Cooper S, obviously, has the blower, but the "Works" upgrade blower is a bolt-on replacement for the standard cooper supercharger, hence blowers, not heads/manifolds (or whatever these modern thingies have instead of proper technology), are going cheap on ebay.

Apparently, it's cheaper to buy the bolt-on kit than buy a Cooper S Works new.

I take it the warranty's run out then...

Not yet. Carole is planning ahead. She did intend to upgrade but she doesn't like the looks of the New 'face lift' Mini so she's going to spend her car fund on this one.

I wasn't that impressed with the performance of the standard cooper when I borrowed one so had intentions to move up to an 'S', then those design blokes at BMW go and spoil the looks.
I think the handling & performance of my car as it stands is quite impressive, I just can't quite keep up with you guys and need that bit of extra umph.
I'm currently wondering if I might get away with giving it a run round Croft in September.........

I'm getting a lot of encouragement from Bob to take the mini......but I think he has ulteria motives. Since he went to HHC trackday the other week I informed him that it was obviously my turn to have the Tiv all day in September.
