Hi, am I being scammed ? My Husband has put my car on for sale and we’ve had an email from a buyer, saying she’ll buy it, without looking at it. But gave the place of where she works ? And she’ll pay via PayPal. Sounds abit off to me 😬 any help is much appreciated. Thanks 😊

They will assure you that paypal is safe and offer to transfer the funds to you. When you accept you will get an email from a fake "paypal" account to say they are holding the funds for you and they will assure you that the buyer cant reclaim the funds. They will say that whenever the car is sold you can then draw down the money to your account.

Scammer sends someone to pick the car up, you try to withdraw the funds and you cant because it wasnt paypal who sent the email and the money wasnt there in the first place.

Only ever release a car when the cash is in your hands or the money in your account
