more Scameras?

RICHARDL said:I don't know. My guess is they'll send the notice and ask that you plead guilty. I have argued with them before when they were using their mobile camera wrongly. I provided them evidence that their action was unsafe because the camera manufacturer specified how to use the camera and they were using it contrary to the manufacturers instructions. There reply required that I plead this in court. Problem is the £60 fine becomes £1,000 if I go to court and I would have to rely on the judgement of a magistrate. I know several magistrates and they don't live in our world so I decided taking them to court would cost me £1,000. I went with the safe option and paid the money.
can they still nick me?
Just one more example of justice being corrupted by the system.
I'm paranoid about bridges and slip roads when on motorways now - I always slow down to about 80 ready to chuck on the anchors if I see anything suspicious, once past, it's peddle to the metal again.
If your lucky, it might have been APNR, looking for the real criminals on the roads.

I have seen the car tax van around the area over the last few weeks, but this one on the A19 was a larger transit sized van, and the equipment was not like the car tax van - this had dome cameras (I do some CCTV myself, its the only reason I noticed them).
I suspect it was not to do with car tax

They've been targeting the area for a couple of weeks. Quite covert sometimes, hiding on slip roads and behind bridges. This marks a new era for this policing in this area. They had been fairly reasonable before targeting 30 zones only. I shall have to watch myself.
bugger.
It wasn't that long ago that I used to barrel up the A19 under cover of darkness at 130+ all the way
takes all the fun out of a midnight run if you have to do less than 100
what I really think is unsporting is when the rozzers hide up an on ramp to a dual carriageway so you can only see them in your rear view after you've gone past
it's just not cricket

the merk sprinter size van is the polices, its computer can look for certain reg numbers inputed ie,people with warrents, known criminals cars, cars assosiated with crime,un taxed and i beleave speeders, they could input from swanseas data base things like all diesel cars and work with the costoms and exise for dodgey fuel in theory. this is usualy acompanied by a trafic car or bike, somtimes the unmarked scodas or peugeot eather side of it.
THE smaller transit vans are eather the mobile speed camera set up on a tripod at the side of the road,he works on his own or
THE small dvla van with his rear doors open and 2 cameras <1 for each lane> who records untaxed veacles and sends fines through the post.he has a green dvla sticker on the side of the van..
