Complete with working electrics and minus about 100m of wiring, the removal of which doesn't seem to have made any difference at all (other than to make it work).
Shocks still not here yet, though.
Never mind that, I'm going

You'll have to pm me the name of the elecricians, as I reckon I can beat 100m
Just putting the 280i back together at the moment, after
much spannering and swearing. You even have to lever the engine over to get the damned oil filter out!
I'll be off to Croft tomorrow (though not in the Tiv, as she doesn't like queues), as long as it's not torrential rain.

It's a common problem on the 2.8, not helped by the engine mounting rubbers sagging, perishing etc. and allowing the engine to sit a bit lower. I found that with new rubbers there was just enough room to get the filter past the end of the cylinder head...
I'm just aralditing a broken thermostat housing back together at the moment.

"if it aint broke, don't fix it"
I just had a wasted trip over to Middlesbro' during rush hour, where the scrappy had told me he had a 2.8 engine in a Sierra.
It was a 2.9
Stupid
