Does anyone have any practical (positive) experience of any of these outfits recently? Any recommendations?

I was going to repaint my whole bumper but after experiencing the usual Lotus pi55-potical quality of bolts and fittings trying to remove it I thought about trying to have it done insitu.

Rang Dentmaster but they are "very busy" and will get back on Monday(!).

Hi,

I used ChipsAway on the wifes car. Did a good job too and not as expensive as I thought. They come round and give you a quote after looking at what needs doing. Have lost the guys number, but I did contact them via their national website and got a pretty quick response from the local franchise owner.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Thanks guys.
I really wanted to take the bumper off and strip it as the paint adhesion is poor; it's made of shiny plastic and the slightest knock means deformation and the paint just flakes away. However, the bolts are hidden in a way that I really need a hired circus midget to sit in the boot and fettle them, and all the ironmogery looks like it shared the seabed with the Titanic.
My only reservation about painting-on is that a decent edge can be worked to. Chps Away did ring back today but made it obvious that they were mega-busy, nice. We shall see what happens on Wednesday.
