These guys are well regarded in the older merc world, whenever I took my w201 there they always had some new stuff there too

Is it out of warranty? If it is then I don’t see why you would ‘have’ to take it to MB?
You might want to think about resale as like it or not a lot of buyers would like to see FMBSH for a C63.
My experience of MB Newcastle is pretty poor - I wouldn’t take my lawn mower there!
There are a few MB specialists to consider who would probably do a better job and be cheaper?

Many thanks for the replies.
Has anyone used M and S in Boldon or MB Teeside?
Thanks
I walked into M and S in Boldon one day. I needed a B7 service on my 2012 C Class estate. It also needed the gearbox oil and filters doing. The prices seemed fairly reasonable but the bloke just didn't seem interested. He then reeled off a list of problems that he expected to find when he put his diagnostic machine on the car. There was something about his manner which suggested to me that he was going to find faults that weren't there. Promptly walked out.Has anyone used M and S in Boldon or MB Teeside?

What I have done is taken the car back to where I bought it from. A place called Crowther Lodge on the Felling Bypass next to McDonalds. They deal almost exclusively in German cars and their head mechanic is an ex Merc dealer head tech. They've always given me excellent customer service and I now won't take the car anywhere else
