Chaps,

As the internet is proving to be a disappointment on this subject, I was hoping someone on here could help (as this place is better than any guide)...

...I'm out in Newcastle (-upon-Tyne) next saturday night with a stag party - there'll be about 14 of us, all pretty normal blokes over 30 - am trying to find a decent nightclub to go where (a) we don't look like old gimmers, (b) no charvers, (c) don't have to be achingly trendy, and (d) we can have a laugh.

Any thoughts from anyone? Cuba Cuba sounds interesting, although apparently it's "rock" night on saturdays which always concerns me a little...

Any help greatly appreciated.

**apologies - also posted this in Pie & Piston and someone suggested I should post it in here too**

Greys nightclub on Greys street will certainly fit you criteria for not feeling old :-) and isn't far from an adult gentlemans entertainment club called Blue Velvet... fill yer boots.

Don't know wehre your accomodation is, but head for the quayside.

There are at least 10 pubs around the roundabout on the quayside-Akenside, one next down erm, Drown Possada, Chase, Qulited Camel, Julies, Quayside Bar, Cooperage, Red House, etc etc - at least three more but I'm drunk already.

Saturday night is normally rocking so you can't go wrong.

Clubs - Julie and Sea on quayside on Newcastle side are night good music.
On the Gateshead side -Baja pronouced Baha - great fun club fun music all night, Buffalo Joes, watch the bar maids dance on the bar ooo er, ands the boat famous for a revolving dance floor.

The choice of club is yours - Baja os a good laugh though.

Is the invite open to anyone??????

I do cheap taxi rides in my beast if required - but only while folk are sober hehehehe

Ton's of bar in Newcastle and most are open until 1am.

The Living Room on Grey Street is not bad, it is open til 2am.

Beyond is ok too, that is at a complex called The Gate, Tiger Tiger is next to it as well.

The Apartment can be ok, but it dose get the odd t**t in there.

Tokyo is a cracking place to, just round the corner from The Apartment.

Whatever you choose you will have a cracking time. Just please don't post on here next week saying you went on the boat!!!
