would anyone be up for a bit of touring the area and taking pictures of the cars?

I quite fancying having a play with something other than the Marlin and whilst I'm no pro it'd be nice to shoot some different cars...

Up towards Alston via Hexham are some nice areas...

I'd be up for that if I ever get an MOT again for the Corvette. Fingers crossed it should be sorted in the next week or so. I regret not having any decent pictures of my ex-cars. Would also be nice to have something decent to post when it goes up on Ebay

I'm in York this weekend but weekend after is good for me (Sunday in particular as hopefully the cars going for a tune up on the 9th, dependent if the Aston garage get back to me in time).

Time is fairly tight for me at the moment, I have my final dissertation due on the 6th May but it needs to be finished a week before that to be bound and printed, similiary after tha is my final exams.

I'll be calling the Aston garage tommorrow regrading some work they should be doing, and all been well my car will be ready come April 10th which will be the optimum day for me to do this...

Having said that, it's all dependent on how much work I can get done in the next few days... I'll update you after I find out what the Aston garage say (fingers crossed they don't want to charge Aston prices!).

I was out and about yesterday (and spotted Polar993 ) and have found a few locations which could prove to make for a nice scene.

Hows about Sunday 17th April?

First location is near the Metro Centre (assuming you don't mind passing onto ground which has a big "no entry" sign & the location is as good as one hopes (I haven't been in myself yet). The rest are on backroads on the way up to Hexham and then one near Acomb.

I'm pretending to be a pro, nor indeed suggest the pictures will be any good (lets face it, I only spotted 4 or 5 locations out of many miles of driving ) but if anyone would be willing to come along I'll happily give them a CD of the images I take.

hmm, sounds interesting the A686 and surrounding roads are my hunting grounds

Depending on dissertation position (it's due 6th, and it needs to be printed by 3rd) I'll be there.

I was watching Fred Dibnah tonight and was thinking the Transporter bridge would be a good backdrop to a few photos.

Transporter - yes!

Plus a nice ride up through Seal Sands (lovely fast roads) to Seaton Carew Seafront, and some fish and chips.

I'm hoping to make it up there

Nothing definite yet - it depends on what my tutor says about my first draft, but getting to and from Hartside only takes me a couple of hours
