Yep, Dan is a great bloke and I have been taking my car to him from day one (12 years ago). He has done loads of work on my car over the years and will continue to use him.

It's a bit more of a drive for me now he is in Acomb, but still worth the journey. He has also collected and dropped it back off on occasion.

I will be booking back in with him soon as I need an oil leak checking out.

Hexham Horseless Carriages - speak to Tony - ex dealers and know their stuff

Just called in tonight on way home from Glasgow and was made very welcome even though I sold my TVR last year - good guys and well worth speaking too

I took my TVR Griffith to SPS Automotive (now renamed British Sportscar Services) for an engine rebuild. Less than 1,000 miles later it went bang.

It was still under warranty having been done less than a year ago.
Dan would not answer my phone calls or return my voicemails......
He was also paid in cash......

I shipped it off to a specialist who found it had a cheap Chinese cam fitted and a loose jubilee clip in the sump.

Any company who doesn't have a landline doesn't want to be contacted. British Sportscar Services does NOT have a landline. Good luck if you have a problem.
