Moving to Scarborough Filey area buy house

Hi this is my first time, can anyone offer me any advise about living in or close to the Scarborough areas, we are retired and selling our house in Norfolk , dont need big and busy but also dont need sleepy village, we are told the area is very nice and a safe place to live, if im on the wrong Forum please advise,otherwise any positive views or help on the subject would be of help many thanks Alan4711

I don't live in the area but spend a lot of time there on holiday. House prices seem very reasonable on the East coast, compared to many parts of the UK, just don't buy a house too near the coastline where there are cliffs, for obvious reasons.

Overall a nice part of the UK, if a lttle cold in winter.
